Housed in the loft-like zone of Hall 2 at Singapore Expo sits this charming Scandinavian-styled café. Its light-filled interior is perfect for Instagramming food photos. Helmed by a creative owner who cooks and prepares the East-meets-West food, do make a beeline for Mentai Taiyoki where luscious octopus balls pair wonderfully with the moreish Mentaiko sauce. For Phanaeng Kari, you need to dig into al dente spaghettini doused with homemade, aromatic Thai sauce that’s tart, spicy, sweet and sour. The Gooey Mentaiko Fish features a tender tilapia fillet with fatty skin intact but drizzled generously with savoury Mentaiko sauce and served between two flat breads. Famous for their Flower-potted Mud Tarts, this dessert is too pretty to eat but once you cut into the indulgent, gooey centre – a choice of Matcha, Mango, Nutella Oreo or Cookie Butter – you’ll agree it’s perfect with a cup of coffee or tea.
